About the book

Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded as a child, is grieving the death of his lover Karen Page, and he sits down to write her a letter. Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale tell the story of Daredevil's early days, in a color-washed retelling of the hero's first year and of his early costume, the yellow one. The tale covers Matt's relationship with Foggy Nelson, the arrival of Karen, and his fights with villains such as the Owl and the Purple Man. It's a love story as much as a superhero tale.

Fans of superhero comics who like a nostalgic, emotional approach, and readers who admire Tim Sale's painterly style, will want to look. It also works as an entry point for anyone who has not read much Daredevil.
