Grant Morrison's story sends the Justice League against the Crime Syndicate of Amerika, a team of evil counterparts from a parallel universe where good and evil are reversed. Their version of Superman is Ultraman, and the other members mirror Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Green Lantern. When the Syndicate's Earth is threatened, they come to our world, and a battle begins that brings in Lex Luthor, who is a hero on the other side. Frank Quitely illustrates this single volume.
It suits readers who like big superhero ideas and the idea of mirrored universes. It is a good fit for fans of Morrison's JLA run or anyone looking for a quick, stylish adventure with the League.
Outward-looking, growth-minded and escapist; an easy read.
Best for readers like The Curious Generalist. Which reader are you?
