In this volume, the scouts of Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady Types face a literal shift in their environment alongside internal group tensions. Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley find their summer routine disrupted when a heavy layer of snow blankets the forest in the middle of a June heatwave. While investigating the sudden winter, Barney tries to settle into a new cabin while dealing with the social pressure of fitting in with the group. The girls navigate frozen landscapes and encounter ancient, mythical entities responsible for the weather anomaly, forcing them to solve logic puzzles and navigate magical traps to restore the season.
