Andie Harper is a divorced woman who takes a job with her ex-husband, North Archer, a wealthy man who owns a big house. She goes with him to his large home to care for two children, Alex and Carrie, who have been placed in his charge. She finds that the house is haunted. Jennifer Crusie builds a mix of romance, comedy and ghost story out of the reunion of the former couple and the strange household around them.
Readers of romantic comedy who like haunted houses and witty banter will find a light, entertaining read. It is a good pick for fans of Crusie's other books.
