About the book

Izuku Midoriya lives in a world where most people are born with superpowers called Quirks, but he has none. His one dream is to become a hero like All Might, the hero who ranks above all others. After a chance encounter with All Might, Izuku learns of One For All, a power passed from one holder to the next, and inherits it after a grueling regimen to make his body ready. He earns a place at U.A. High School, where he meets his rival Bakugo and classmates such as Uraraka and Iida. Kohei Horikoshi sets up the premise and the school-year tone in this first volume.

Readers who like shonen manga about training, rivalry, and underdogs will settle in quickly. It is a friendly entry point to superhero comics for anyone new to manga.
