Jill Newhouse is a senior at an elite Long Island prep school, where she belongs to the Players, a secret group of privileged students who run the place. Two years earlier, her friend Annaleise Fischer was murdered, and a classmate was convicted of it. When a young reporter investigates the case, Jill starts to wonder whether the right person is in prison, and what her friends have been hiding.
It is for young adult readers who like mysteries about class, secrets and exclusive schools. It suits those who liked Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars, though it is more serious.
Practical, clear-cut and escapist; an easy read.
Best for readers like The Escapist Adventurer. Which reader are you?
