About the book

In a future where people are produced in laboratories and graded from Alpha to Epsilon, social stability is maintained with conditioning, free sex and the drug soma. Bernard Marx, an Alpha with doubts, travels with Lenina Crowne to a reservation in New Mexico and brings back John, called the Savage, who was raised on Shakespeare and cannot accept the World State's values. John's disgust at London's shallow pleasures leads to a final dispute with Mustapha Mond.

Great for readers curious about how Huxley's vision differs from Orwell's. You close it with sharper questions on consumerism, happiness and individual choice.
