About the book

Sri M, born into a Muslim family in Kerala, recounts how a spiritual search led him as a young man to the Himalayas, where he met his teacher, Maheshwarnath Babaji. He describes years of travel, study and training under the yogi, as well as encounters with sadhus and holy men in the mountains, and a gradual return to the plains to teach.

Readers drawn to Indian spiritual autobiography, in the tradition of Yogananda, will find a modern account told in a plain, direct voice. It also appeals to those interested in how an interfaith background shaped one man's teaching.
