Le Cirque des Rêves arrives without warning, opens only at night and is made of black-and-white tents, each holding a marvel: a garden of ice, a maze of clouds, a tree hung with candles. Behind it, two magicians, Prospero the Enchanter and the mysterious Mr. A. H., have bound their students, Celia Bowen and Marco Alisdair, in a duel whose rules neither understands. As the circus tours from London to Prague and beyond, Celia and Marco fall in love, and a boy named Bailey becomes part of the story.
Perfect for readers who like atmospheric fantasy driven by imagery and mood more than plot twists. It is a slow, sensuous love story set in an imagined Victorian world.
