A duck on a farm sees the farmer riding a bicycle and decides he wants to try it. One day he hops on and rides around the yard, and soon the other animals follow with their own reactions: the horse, the cow, the sheep and others each comment in animal noises. Soon the whole group is craving a ride too. David Shannon's picture book is simple, with funny animal pictures and a short text.
It suits small children and parents who like read-aloud picture books with animal sounds. It is brief, silly and visually rich.
Practical, outward-looking and clear-cut; an easy read.
Best for readers like The Practical Optimizer. Which reader are you?
