About the book

Hero Wantage is a young woman who, after a childhood of friendship with Lord Sheringham, called Sherry, marries him in a rush after he is told to settle down. Both are immature, and when she follows him to London, she is surrounded by his fashionable friends, who include Gil Ferrant and the eccentric Ferdy Fakenham. Their marriage is stormy, and they have to grow up before they can have a real union.

It is one of Georgette Heyer's most comic Regency romances, and fans of lighthearted period comedy will enjoy the dialogue and the sense of farce. It suits readers who want romance with plenty of laughter.
