About the book

Exiled as a boy to the kingdom of Phthia, Patroclus is taken in by King Peleus, and there he meets his son Achilles, the fastest and most beautiful of mortals. Their friendship turns into love as they study medicine and fighting with the centaur Chiron. Then Helen is taken, and the call to Troy forces Achilles to accept his destiny, even though the goddess Thetis predicts his early death. Patroclus follows, first as healer, then as the man Achilles cannot lose.

Recommended for lovers of Homer and of historical fantasy. You get a focused, human version of the Trojan War, told with a lyrical touch.
