This is a paranormal anthology of five novellas about the unusual dogs of the supernatural. Charlaine Harris's story is set in her Sookie Stackhouse universe. Contributors Ilona Andrews, Meljean Brook, Susan Krinard and Keri Arthur add their own tales, each starring a hellhound, a demon dog or a related creature, and each pairing a heroine with a dangerous but loyal partner. The stories mix romance, urban fantasy and humor, with a short length that suits a quick read.
It is aimed at readers of paranormal romance and urban fantasy, particularly those who already follow Charlaine Harris or Ilona Andrews and want to sample other authors in the genre. Each story stands alone.
Practical, clear-cut and escapist; an easy read.
Best for readers like The Escapist Adventurer. Which reader are you?
