The circus arrives at night and leaves before sunrise, and its tents hold wonders that its visitors cannot explain. Unknown to them, it is a stage for a long-running duel between two magicians, who have chosen Celia and Marco as their champions from childhood. Each creates attractions in response to the other without knowing exactly who the opponent is, and then they meet and fall in love. The circus's fans, including a young man named Bailey, begin to wonder what happens when the competition has to end.
