About the book

Ria Lynch lives in a house on Tara Road in Dublin. Her husband, Danny, has just left her for a younger woman, and she is left with her children and her memories. Marilyn Vigushin, an American woman, is dealing with a loss of her own and wants a break from her life in Connecticut. They agree to swap homes for the summer, and each gets to know the other's life through the house, the neighbors, and the letters left behind. Maeve Binchy builds a story about friendship between two women who have never met.

A comfortable choice for readers of Irish domestic fiction who like warm characters and emotional recovery. It is a good book for a long weekend or a holiday.
