The Mark of Athena Graphic Novel

Annabeth Chase leads the crew of the Argo II to New Rome to establish a truce between Greek and Roman demigods. However, a sudden act of violence forces the seven heroes to flee toward the ancient lands of the Mediterranean. Annabeth must follow the Mark of Athena, a private quest to recover a stolen statue that requires her to face the weaver Arachne using her intellect rather than her dagger. Meanwhile, Percy Jackson, Leo Valdez, and the others fight through mythological obstacles to reach Rome and rescue Nico di Angelo from a bronze jar.

Devotees of Rick Riordan’s mythological world read this adaptation to see the architectural details of Rome and the designs of ancient monsters brought to life. Fans of the Heroes of Olympus series get a visual representation of the friction between the two camps and the specific mechanics of the prophecy. Readers walk away with a clear mental map of the Argo II and a storyboarded sequence of the climactic battle beneath the city streets.
