About the book

Two members of the Evil Society, the sorcerer Beelzebub Irrwitzer and the witch Tyrannja Vamperl, are far behind on their yearly quota of evil, with only one night left until New Year. They brew a Wish-Punch that will grant wishes to the world in order to cause damage. Opposing them are a raven, Jakob Krakel, and a cat, Maurizio di Mauro, who try to spoil the plan. Michael Ende writes a comic fantasy with tongue-twisting words and satire of bureaucracy.

Children and adults who like wordplay and fantasy will enjoy it. It is meant to be read aloud, and works well for a New Year's Eve read.
