More Imaginative Than Ordinary Speech The Poetry of Cat Ellington

“The truth is a beautiful thing.”

The way she describes quiet moments feels very personal. It made me think about the stories we tell ourselves when we are alone.

Creative energy seems to come from everywhere in these pages. Even a simple observation turns into something much bigger and more colorful.

She captures that specific feeling of being misunderstood. The words give a voice to things I have felt but could never quite name.

The imagery stays grounded even when the ideas are big. I could almost see the scenes she described in my head.
