The Woman Who Lied

“Everyone has secrets. But some secrets can kill you.”

Emilia's life falls apart because of one tiny lie in a novel. It makes me wonder how much of our own fiction is actually true.

Seeing your own plot twists happen in real life would be terrifying. Emilia watching her fictional murders come true felt like a waking nightmare.

“They don't know the real me. They only know the version they've created.”

The way people turn on Emilia the moment things get weird is chilling. Public opinion shifted faster than the police investigation.

“I'm your biggest fan. I know everything about you.”

That creepy fan mail really highlights how little privacy writers actually have. Someone was studying her words to use them as a weapon.
