About the book

Cadence Sinclair Eastman belongs to a wealthy family that spends every summer on a private island off Massachusetts, each household in its own house. With her cousins Johnny and Mirren and Gat, the nephew of her aunt's partner, she forms the group called the Liars. During the fifteenth summer, Cadence suffers an accident she cannot remember, and she returns to the island two years later with headaches and little information. The family refuses to tell her what happened, and she must work it out herself.

Readers who like short young-adult thrillers with a late twist will find it fast and atmospheric. It deals with privilege, inheritance and silence in a family, and its ending is better left unspoiled.
