About the book

The seventh volume follows the changing social hierarchy between Karine, Jenny, and Vicky as Karine gains more confidence and moves away from her role as the group’s scapegoat. While Jenny and Vicky struggle to maintain their status and beauty standards, Karine’s romantic life and musical interests introduce new tensions that threaten their established friendship. The story details the consequences of past manipulations and the fallout of new secrets, focusing on how the three girls react when their personal desires conflict with their shared history in high school.

This comic is for adolescent readers who want a blunt look at the cruelty and competitiveness found in teenage social circles. Readers look for sharp humor and a narrative that does not shy away from the vanity and selfishness of its protagonists. The book provides a perspective on how self-image and peer pressure dictate behavior, leaving the reader with a cynical but recognizable depiction of the struggle to balance individual identity with the need for social acceptance.

Insights from Un bonheur presque parfait (Les nombrils #7)
