Holland Jaeger is a popular senior with a boyfriend, a good grade point average and a spot in the cheerleading crowd. Then she meets Cece Goddard, a quiet new girl with a motorcycle and a taste for painting, and Holland's feelings begin to shift. She must work out whether to risk her place at school, her relationship with her family, and the opinions of friends who have always thought they knew her.
Teenagers coming to terms with their own orientation will recognise the fear of being outed and the thrill of a first relationship. It is an older entry in young adult fiction about lesbian identity, written plainly and without heavy plot.
Inward-looking; an easy read.
